Lauren Gurley, who has been covering the push from Amazon workers to form a Union, gives some of the details of how it is playing out.
I'm rooting for the Amazon workers but I'm pessimistic as I'm not sure the US remembers how to do solidarity. Even if we remember how companies like Amazon are daunting foes. If I remember correctly Amazon didn't make money for 10 years as it concentrated on taking over markets. They had investors who were willing to deal with losses for a decade. Unless there is pressure both inside and out I don't see the Workers winning anytime soon.
